 Southbound lane restrictions in effect on Yonge Street in Thornhill for emergency utility repairs

Motorists advised to seek alternate routes during morning rush hour
The Regional Municipality of York has closed two southbound lanes on Yonge Street in Thornhill between Clark Avenue and Steeles Avenue to allow Bell Canada to conduct emergency repairs beneath the road.
 
The closure, which began over the weekend, is expected to remain in effect throughout Monday and Tuesday. Electronic message signs have been installed to direct motorists.
 
Motorists are asked to reduce speed through the construction area and consider using alternate routes during their commute.
