Come out to a PRESTO event in York Region

More than 4,000 PRESTO fee-waived cards already issued at ongoing events
NEWMARKET - The Regional Municipality of York is marking the launch of PRESTO - the electronic transit fare card system - by distributing up to 5,000 fee-waived cards at ongoing events throughout the Region.
YRT/Viva representatives will be on hand at each event to show riders how to register and use PRESTO,  as well as provide additional PRESTO how-to help.
More than 4,000 cards have been distributed at over 55 events so far - you too can enjoy the benefits of this new convenient system by getting your card at one of these upcoming events:

Please contact York Region Corporate Communications to make arrangements to speak witha YRT/Viva spokesperson regarding PRESTO.
All PRESTO cards to be distributed are $25 pre-loaded cards ($6 card issuance fee and $19 e-purse value).  The $6 issuance fee will be waived for YRT/Viva customers who purchase and register on-the-spot. Customers who do not wish to register must pay the full card value of $25.
PRESTO is the provincial electronic fare card system being introduced in phases across transit systems in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Customers tap their PRESTO card on a payment device and the appropriate fare is deducted from the card’s stored value, allowing for seamless transfers within and between participating transit systems.
