Attendees must register by November 25 for November 30 workshop
NEWMARKET ??" The Regional Municipality of York will host a Community Workshop on Wednesday, November 30 in the City of Vaughan to discuss proposed changes to Rutherford Road at the GO Rail crossing east of Keele Street.
The proposed changes are part of an Environmental Assessment (EA) York Region has undertaken to consider improvements to Rutherford Road/Carrville Road between Jane Street and Yonge Street. The Region is hosting this workshop in response to a number of comments received at two earlier public consultations that took place on September 22 and 27 as part of the EA process.
DATE: Wednesday, November 30
6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
LOCATION: Forest Run Public School
200 Forest Run Boulevard, City of Vaughan
(closest intersection is Rutherford Road and Dufferin Street)
Light refreshments will be provided
The preferred solution for improving Rutherford Road/Carrville Road is to add facilities to accommodate cyclists and widen the road between Jane Street and Bathurst Street. The road widening will require a redesign of the intersection of Rutherford Road at the GO Rail crossing.
Different solutions for this redesign at the GO Rail crossing will be discussed at the workshop.
