Langstaff Road from Huntington Road to Highway 27 to remain closed for two more weeks
Heavy rains delay construction efforts
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York will keep Langstaff Road from Huntington Road to Highway 27 in the City of Vaughan closed for two more weeks to complete road reconstruction that began on April 4.
Construction work to install storm sewers and sewer crossings, as well as road reconstruction, was originally scheduled to be completed by May 2. However, heavy rains over the past several days have prevented efforts to repave the road.
Langstaff Road is anticipated to be re-opened on Friday, May 13.
Local traffic access will be maintained throughout the closure.
York Region thanks motorists and residents for their patience as these improvements are completed.
