Together we can take action to help people make ends meet in York Region
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York Human Services Planning Board will host the community launch of Making Ends Meet in York Region, a discussion paper that focuses on community action to help families and individuals who are struggling financially.
The Human Services Planning Board of York Region is co-chaired by Town of Newmarket Regional Councillor John Taylor and Susan La Rosa, Director of Education for the York Catholic District School Board. The Board is made up of 24 leaders and decision-makers from the Region’s hospitals, school boards and police department, as well as individuals from human services organizations and networks, community leaders and senior levels of government.
Members of the media and public are invited to attend the launch that will feature a panel discussion on Making Ends Meet in York Region and an inspirational address from Ric Young, Founder and President of E-Y-E, The Social Projects Studio and architect of numerous social change initiatives that address a broad spectrum of societal challenges.
