Social media channels for Vision 2051 are now open

The Regional Municipality of York invites residents and stakeholders to share their ideas
NEWMARKET – Social media channels for Vision 2051 operated by The Regional Municipality of York are now live and welcoming comments and suggestions from residents and stakeholders about how to update Vision 2026 and create a new vision for York Region for 2051.

York Region residents and stakeholders are being asked to participate in the discussion on important issues that the Region faces over the next 40 years and beyond.
What are your wishes for the future of our communities?  What must we do today to get to where we want to be in 40 years?
Community design, climate change, energy, transportation, waste management, water management, demographic changes, economic vitality, housing demands, human services and the safety needs of our population are among the issues we will face over the coming years.
