York Regional Police to open $72.5 million Central Services Building in the Town of Aurora

Grand opening to take place this Friday, November 19
AURORA – The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board, York Regional Police and The Regional Municipality of York will officially open the new York Regional Police Central Services Building in the Town of Aurora on Friday, November 19.
 
The new $72.5 million facility will house Homicide and Hold Up bureaus as well as the Canine unit and Traffic Services.  It will also feature a centralized customer service counter for vulnerable sector screening and volunteer clearance letters.
 
The building, which replaces three leased facilities, is also designed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver standards to minimize energy usage.     Architectural rendering of the York Regional Police
