The Regional Municipality of York to hold public consultations on renaming Highway 7 to Avenue 7

Consultations to be held in Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York will host three public consultation centres to discuss the renaming of Highway 7 to Avenue 7 to better reflect the modern urban corridor that it is becoming.
The renaming will affect the entire length of Highway 7 from Highway 50 in the City of Vaughan, across the southern edge of the Town of Richmond Hill, to east of Donald Cousens Parkway in the Town of Markham.
The three consultations will take place:
City of Vaughan
 January 18th – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Woodbridge College Cafeteria
71 Bruce Street (East of Islington Avenue, off Highway 7)
Town of Richmond Hill January 19th – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Alexander Mackenzie High School cafeteria
300 Major Mackenzie Drive West
Town of Markham January 20th – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Markville Secondary School cafeteria
1000 Carlton Road
