King Road between Jane Street and Weston Road to close for replacement of Highway 400 overpass

Closure on February 20th and February 21stwill also include Highway 400
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York will close King Road between Jane Street and Weston Road in the Township of King to permit the Ministry of Transportation to replace the Highway 400 overpass at King Road.
The closure will be in effect from Saturday, February 20th at 11 p.m. to Sunday, February 21st at 8 a.m.
The construction will also require lane restrictions on Highway 400 beginning at 11 p.m. on Saturday.  Affected traffic along Highway 400 will be re-routed around the lane restrictions.
Portable electronic message signs will be installed along King Road to alert motorists to the construction and direct them to detour around the construction site.
For the duration of the closure, York Regional Police will be on-site to supervise and help direct traffic.
York Region thanks motorists for their patience as this overpass upgrade is made.
