York Region Emergency Medical Services brings joy and toys to the sick and injured this Christmas Eve
NEWMARKET - For the sixth consecutive year, York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedics will distribute toys this Christmas Eve to children who are in York Region hospital emergency rooms and children’s wards.
The Teddy Bear Company has generously donated approximately 250 Webkinz to York Region EMS for distribution.
More than 50 blankets will also be delivered this year to elderly patients in York Region hospital palliative care units. These blankets are hand-knit and donated by the Nanny Blanket Drive, a team of York Region EMS paramedics, family members and friends.
Media is invited to film and interview paramedics as they load teddy bears and blankets into emergency vehicles.
