The Regional Municipality of York to hold Remembrance Day Ceremony

Members of the public invited to attend
NEWMARKET …quot; The Regional Municipality of York will hold a Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11th, beginning at 10:40 a.m.  Members of the public and media are welcome to join Regional staff for the ceremony.

PRESENT: Bill Fisch, York Region Chairman and CEO
  Bruce Macgregor, York Region Chief Administrative Officer
  Bruce Herridge, Deputy Police Chief, York Regional Police
  Mark Evans, Master Warrant Officer, Canadian Forces Base Downsview
  Doug Sheppard, CUPE 905 Union Chair, and Master of Ceremonies
• Two minutes of silence will be observed at 11:00 a.m.
• The ceremony will feature York Regional Emergency Medical Services Colour Guards; York Regional Police Detective and Piper Peter Fleming; York Regional Police Constable Danielle Morrison, who will perform O Canada and God Save the Queen; Master Warrant Officer Mark Evans, who will perform the presentation of the wreath
• The ceremony will also be video broadcast to York Regional employees located at 90 Bales Drive in the Town of East Gwillimbury, 50 High Tech Road in the Town of Richmond Hill and 520 Cane Parkway in the Town of Newmarket to allow Regional employees to take part in the Remembrance Day service at the Administrative Centre
