Young boy becomes paramedic for a day

In celebration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week
NEWMARKET – York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedics will grant an important wish to a deserving child from the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada during EMS Week May 17th to 23rd. 
 
The 12-year-old wish recipient will become a paramedic for the day.  He will be outfitted with his own uniform and will travel with York Region paramedics touring the various EMS stations and facilities across the Region.
 
He will also learn life saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic and advanced first aid techniques.
 
WHEN: Wednesday, May 20th
