The Regional Municipality of York to host consultations for Water and Wastewater Master Plan update

Towns of Aurora, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Whitchurch-Stouffville to host third round of consultations
NEWMARKET The Regional Municipality of York will be hosting a series of Public Consultation Centres (PCC) in January and early February to receive input from residents on the Region's Water and Wastewater Master Plan update.
The Water and Wastewater Master Plan update is a 40-year planning blueprint for water and wastewater services in York Region that will allow us to effectively and sustainably create and maintain facilities that will be required to service our growing communities.
The PCCs are the third round of public discussions that York Region has conducted for the Water and Wastewater Master Plan update.  Discussion will focus on:
 Projected water and wastewater demands for York Region's local municipalities to 2031 and 2051
 Water and wastewater infrastructure requirements and upgrades required for projected growth
 Alternative water and wastewater servicing solutions and their impact on existing agreements

Meetings will feature an open house at 6:30 p.m., presentation at 7:30 p.m. and facilitated discussion at 8 p.m.
In addition to these four locations, a fifth location is also under consideration for Durham Region.
