Beat the flu bug.  Get your flu shot!

The Regional Municipality of York begins annual flu shot campaign
NEWMARKET – The flu season is almost here and the flu vaccine is again available free of charge to all Ontario residents over the age of six months.  The Regional Municipality of York Community and Health Services department encourages residents to get their flu shot as early as they can.
 
The 2008/2009 York Region campaign will officially kick off at the York Region Administrative Centre on Monday, November 3rd.
 
Dr. Karim Kurji, York Region’s Medical Officer of Health, will join Joann Simmons, Commissioner of York Region’s Community and Health Services Department, and receive their annual flu vaccination.  Dr. Kurji will also be available for media interviews following his inoculation.

  Community flu clinic - 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
