The Regional Municipality of York presents the Planet in Focus Cross Canada Tour

York Region’s Administrative Centre is venue for Film Festival screenings
Newmarket - The Regional Municipality of York is pleased to continue our partnership with Canada’s premiere environmental film festival, the Planet in Focus International Environmental Film & Video Festival, as part of its Cross Canada Tour.

WHEN: Thursday, June 26TH *
FILM: Travels by Tricycle:  74-year-old Wang Yimin embarks on a breathtaking adventure through the Chinese countryside in a valiant effort to show his 97-year-old mother the China she has never seen – riding on the back of his homemade tricycle.  Discover the beauty and vastness of China through their epic journey. (English subtitles)
 
* Due to technical difficulties, Travels by Tricycle could not be shown in May.
 
The Regional Municipality of York Administrative Centre is easily accessible by public transit including VIVA and YRT.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Those arriving by transit will receive a $2 discount by showing a valid transfer.  All proceeds will be forwarded to the not-for-profit Planet in Focus International Environmental Film and Video Festival (www.planetinfocus.org)
