York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) help Santa deliver food and toys to local community agencies

In the spirit of the holiday season, York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will be delivering holiday gifts, toys and non-perishable food items to various York Region community agencies.  These items will be delivered by York Region EMS paramedics and staff and the York Region EMS mascot, Parry the Paramedic.
When:  Thursday, December 11th
  10:30 a.m.
Where: Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers
  361 Eagle Street
  Town of Newmarket
The gifts were purchased with approximately $3,100 in funds raised through staff payroll contributions of the Community and Health Services Department. These funds were used to purchase food, clothing and toys from wish lists submitted on behalf of Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers, Yellow Brick House, Salvation Army Christmas Sponsorship Program and the Blue Door Shelters Youth Shelter. In addition, toys and food items were collected at emergency response stations and Departmental offices.
