Regional Municipality of York to launch 2007 United Way staff Campaign

2007 Campaign goal to be unveiled during opening ceremonies
NEWMARKET The Regional Municipality of York will announce its 2007 campaign goal at the launch of its 2007 United Way Staff Campaign. The event will include a silent auction with over $25,000 in items up for bid and a fundraising barbecue.

The United Way of York Region is the largest source of non-profit funding in York Region.  Each year, this foundation assists more than 270,000 people overcome difficulties through support of more than 40 community programs.  The various support programs help provide encouragement, strengthen communities and foster leadership.
