Character Community Awards to recognize York Region citizens who demonstrate positive character attributes

Character Community Foundation of York Region invites nominations for 2008 awards
NEWMARKET Do you know someone who has demonstrated positive character attributes in their home, school, work or community? If so, why not nominate them for a Character Community Award?
The Character Community Awards celebrate and recognize individuals of all ages and organizations across York Region who demonstrate positive character attributes, including:
 Optimism  Responsibility  Courage
 Initiative  Honesty  Inclusiveness
 Perseverance  Integrity  Fairness
 Respect  Compassion 
Nomination packages and information can be found on the Character Community Foundation of York Region website located at:
Completed nomination packages can be mailed to the Character Community Foundation of York Region, 17250 Yonge St., Newmarket, ON L3Y 6Z1, or faxed to 905 895-0847 and must be received on or before January 31, 2008.
All nominees will be recognized at an award ceremony to be held on April 3, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Markham Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 171 Town Centre Blvd. in the Town of Markham.
The Character Community Foundation of York Region represents a group of committed volunteers and leaders from the community, government, education and business sectors working together to make York Region a Character Community by nurturing positive character attributes and enhancing York Region as a desirable place to live, work, play and learn.
