York Works coming soon to all households in York Region

Transportation and Works newsletter has refreshed look and filled with useful information
NEWMARKET The Regional Municipality of York's York Works publication a bi-annual Transportation and Works newsletter is hitting doorsteps in York Region this week.  The newsletter has been updated with a refreshed look and contains useful information for residents regarding water programs, transit projects, solid waste diversion efforts, road construction, planning initiatives, special events and our Greening Strategy.
 
 "York Region places great importance on keeping our residents informed," said York Region Chairman and CEO Bill Fisch.  "Our York Works publication allows residents to learn more about how Regional Council's decisions affect them, specifically our Transportation and Works Committee and many of the essential and important services we provide."
 
The York Works publication is being distributed this week to every York Region household.
 
"Residents will find the new look of York Works appealing and the content easy to follow," said Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor Wayne Emmerson, Chair of York Region's Transportation and Works Committee.  "The articles provide valuable information and contact numbers to engage residents and encourage them to get involved and let us know how we are doing."
 
The York Region Transportation and Works Department provides regional residents with quality transit, roads, water systems and solid waste management, exemplifying public and environmental safety in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
