Information meeting for community agencies submitting proposals to York Region's CDIF program
NEWMARKET – The Regional Municipality of York will be holding an information meeting for community agencies interested in submitting proposals for funding in 2007 under York Region's Community Development and Investment Fund (CDIF).
The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Seminar Room of the York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge Street, north of Mulock Drive, in Newmarket.
Through CDIF, York Region purchases a range of community services from eligible community agencies for vulnerable residents across the Region. Annually, CDIF enables more than 30,000 residents to benefit from a range of community-based programs and services.
2007 project proposals must address one or more of the following priority funding areas:
- Homelessness programs
- Family and children's services
- Employment supports
In addition to meeting one or more of the above priority funding areas, projects may also:
- establish services in municipalities with less than 30,000 residents
- address capacity building by offering services that strengthen service coordination and develop core competencies within two or more community agencies
Interested agencies are invited to pick up a copy of the Purchase of Service Request documentation from York Region's Supplies and Services Branch, 17250 Yonge Street, First Floor, in Newmarket. Ask for the CDIF Purchase of Service Request package PSR-06-01.
The deadline for proposals is November 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m.
For more information, contact the Supplies and Services Branch at 1-877-464-9675, ext. 1668, or visit York Region's Web site at www.york.ca and click on "What's New."
