NEWMARKET York Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is pleased to be hosting a celebration where York Medics for Kids will present a cheque for $18,000 to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.  This large monetary donation will be used to help grant wishes to children, age 3-17, who are suffering with high-risk life-threatening illnesses.   Facilitated through York Medics for Kids, contributions were a result of a very successful "2005 Christmas Bash." Money raised from this event included ticket sales and a successful silent auction.
