Take a walk through an old forest on the Oak Ridges Moraine
 


NEWMARKET Come on a morning walk on the Oak Ridges Moraine to see a rare old forest in southern Ontario.
 
Learn how a natural forest works.  Discover why trees have both a life and an afterlife and what unique qualities make older forests stand apart from other woodlands.
 

When:  Saturday, May 14th
  10:00 a.m. 12 noon
 
Where: York Regional Forest
  Hollidge Tract, 16389 Highway 48
  (east side of Hwy 48 between Vivian and Aurora Roads)
 
Admission: Free
 

This forest walk is one of 12 free, family-friendly events hosted by York Forestry.  The walks take place each month.
