York Region hosts Emergency Management Forum



NEWMARKET The Regional Municipality of York is hosting an Emergency Management Forum on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 for organizations across York Region to help fine-tune their response readiness for times of crisis.


The Forum, entitled Together we are Prepared, will bring members of non-government and community organizations together with York Regional Police Services, Fire Services, Emergency Medical Services, and regional emergency management staff to better define roles and responsibilities in the event of a large-scale disaster or emergency.

The Forum will feature a number of speakers from different emergency management organizations, an outdoor display of various types of emergency response vehicles and the Salvation Army emergency response unit.  There will also be educational displays featuring the various community organizations in the Regional Administration building.
