NEWMARKET – On October 28, 2003, the Regional Municipality of York and the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) will hold an official dedication of the MacMillan Nature Reserve in the City of Vaughan.
The 120 acre (48.6 hectare) property, situated on the Oak Ridges Moraine, is being generously donated to NCC by Dr. Robert and Mrs. Lyn MacMillan.
It will be protected jointly by the NCC and the Regional Municipality of York through an innovative land securement/protection partnership.
